A safe plan inventories those dependencies and defines how to test before traffic moves.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Migration work may include<\/h2>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>WordPress or other website host changes.<\/li><li>Staging-to-production deployments.<\/li><li>Domain or URL changes with redirect planning.<\/li><li>Database, media and configuration transfer.<\/li><li>DNS, SSL, CDN and cache cutover.<\/li><li>Post-migration checks for forms, checkout, email, search and integrations.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Plan the change window and rollback<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The migration plan should define the source of truth, content-freeze needs, expected DNS behaviour, final synchronization and the condition that would trigger a rollback. Business-critical stores or membership sites may need a more controlled window.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Verify the paths that matter<\/h2>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A successful homepage load is not a complete acceptance test.
